Allison Burwell, President
Allison Burwell grew up working in the association management and meeting planning industry, providing support to DCI while attending the University of Kansas. Upon graduating with a degree in Business Administration, she decided to expand her knowledge of the association management industry by working for other national associations. After a few years, she returned to DCI and in 2011 proudly stepped into the role of President.

Jennifer Palmer, Chief Operations Officer
Jennifer Palmer joined DCI in 1994 as an Association/Conference Manager after three years as a meeting planner at a public affairs firm in Washington, DC. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Spanish from the University of Kansas. Since 1994, Jennifer has been instrumental in growing DCI’s accounts and client services. She currently serves as Executive Director of the Popeyes International Franchisee Association, the International College of Applied Kinesiology-U.S.A, and Blue Roof Franchisee Association. In addition to her client roles, Jennifer manages all staff and office operations of DCI, as well as acts as a seasoned advisor on all types of association daily issues, meetings, and trade shows. Jennifer is committed to offering great customer service to clients and promoting servant leadership to the DCI team.

Lysa Little has been with DCI since 1997. Lysa serves as the Executive Director for the Taco Bell Franchise Advisory Council. In this role Lysa is responsible for managing membership services and board and committee activities, overseeing FRANMAC’s quarterly magazine, FRANMAC News, and their website administration. Further, Lysa serves as FRANMAC's meeting manager for FRANMAC’s National Convention, where she directs the meeting logistics and activities including speech editorial, graphic management, and show production.

Upon joining the DCI team in 2006, it was clear Cheryl’s degree in Business Marketing from the University of Missouri would allow her to prolifically serve many of DCI’s clients. She has experience with nearly every one of DCI’s clients, but she is currently the Executive Director of IPPA (Independent Payroll Provider’s Association) and IDCFA (International Dale Carnegie Franchise Association). In these roles, Cheryl collaborates with the Board of Directors and committee members on their cooperative missions to advance the vision and mission of each association and, in turn, those of the individual members.
In recent years, Cheryl has been the “right-hand man” on Taco Bell FRANMAC (Franchise Management Advisory Council). Cheryl was responsible for providing board and committee support as well as orchestrating all administrative aspects of the FRANMAC Convention, an annual convention of 1,500 franchisees, corporate counterparts, and vendor partners. Cheryl assisted with program agenda, production, talent, rooming, transportation, food & beverage, promotion, registration, amongst other aspects of this large event. Cheryl was also responsible for maintaining the franchisee database and managing the group’s membership.
When not in the office, she enjoys cheering on the Missouri Tigers with her husband and two-year-old son.

Angela has been a valuable asset to DCI for 12 years. She has experience with nearly every one of DCI’s clients and is currently active in supporting four of those clients.
Angela is the Executive Director of TPG (The Payroll Group). In this role, Angela collaborates with the Board of Directors and committee members on their cooperative missions to advance the vision and mission of the association and, in turn, those of the individual members. TPG’s strategic priorities are legislative influence and member support. In the past three years, under Angela’s leadership, TPG has begun to offer new, valuable benefits to its members, such as complimentary continuing education to further support its members and their employees and encouraged leadership to make a bigger impact in Washington, DC advocating for the payroll industry and communicating regularly on potential legislation and regulatory changes.
Angela serves as Membership Director for the IPPA (Independent Payroll Providers Association). She offers daily support to both the IPPA payroll service bureau and vendor community, maintaining the website, collecting dues and assists in writing quarterly newsletter articles. Angela also manages vendor booth promotion, advertising and sponsorship sales for both the Sales & Marketing Conference and the Business Excellence Conference, annual conferences of 300 company owners, decision makers and vendor partners. In addition, she works with the decorating company to design the vendor hall layout and logistics.
Angela has supported one of DCI’s trade associations, the International College of Applied Kinesiology -USA, since 2009. In this role, Angela has managed the ICAK-USA Annual Meeting and scholarship programs. For the Annual Meeting, Angela directed the program agenda, rooming, transportation, food & beverage, continuing education state applications, promotion, registration, amongst other aspects of this event. She has also managed ICAK-USA scholarship programs as well as overseeing the trade publications and patient education product orders and fulfillment.
Angela has worked with DCI’s largest client, Taco Bell FRANMAC (Franchise Management Advisory Council) for many years. She is responsible for providing support to the Marketing and Beverage Committees as well as overseeing aspects of the FRANMAC Convention, an annual convention of 1,500 franchisees, corporate counterparts, and vendor partners. Angela assists with convention production management amongst other aspects of this large event.

Julie Mills, Controller
Julie Mills came to DCI after a 12-year history in the financial management industry where her principle focus was on small business accounting. Julie’s primary role is Controller for DCI and its clients. In this role, she maintains the financial information for each association, which includes balancing bank statements, preparing monthly and quarterly financial statements, reports, and budgets for each of the association’s boards; processing and tracking each association’s income and expenses; formulating and filing quarterly FEC reports for PACs; and preparing financial information and support documentation for end-of-year tax filing. Julie researches various accounting and tax issues relevant to the financial situations of each association and its individual needs in an effort to keep each client abreast of the latest financial information. Her many years of experience have afforded her the opportunity to work with a variety of businesses giving her the versatility to work with for profit and non-profit groups alike.

Jordan Bennett brings her bilingual communications expertise from her six years in the education industry to DCI. She holds a dual undergraduate degree in Secondary Spanish and English Education in addition to a graduate degree in English Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Kansas. Jordan is the Executive Director of PASBA, Associate Director of PIFA and Membership & Meeting Manager for BRFA, She also provides committee support for PIFA, plans PASBA’s three Annual Conferences and the Annual Member Meeting for BRFA, as well as serving as publications editor for all of her clients’ publications. Jordan uses her advanced language and communication skills to assist her clients in internal and external written publications as well as provide a high level of professionalism and client service that is the cornerstone of DCI.

Melissa Flett joins DCI with over seven years of experience working in the healthcare management field. As a graduate of MidAmerica Nazarene University with a degree in sociology, she brings her knowledge of public resources, relations, and networking along with a high degree of professionalism to the company. She is eager to use her expertise in business relations to advance and promote the growth of DCI.

In 2013 Shelby joined DCI after graduating from Iowa State University with a degree in Event Management. This degree makes Shelby's knowledge in event planning a huge benefit to her clients; FRANMAC, PASBA and TPG. Her responsibilities range from membership and vendor management, to assisting with board and committee activities.

Chalise Shaw joins DCI with over 14-years' experience in the association management industry. Her primary duties within the organization are supporting ICAK-U.S.A., OFFA and serving as the Executive Director of KFFA. In her different roles, Chalise is responsible for managing membership services, dues collection, as well as committee and board activities. She oversees member communications including multiple newsletters, website administration and event promotions. She is well versed in conference and tradeshow management and is highly skilled in marketing and public relations. Her background as a previous franchisee owner/operator provides her personal insight into the franchisee associations managed by DCI.

McKenna Wragge joined DCI in 2017 after graduating with an Event Management degree from Iowa State University in 2015. She uses her experience from the hospitality and recruiting industries to collaborate with hotels and other venues to ensure her clients’ programs and events run seamlessly from beginning to end. McKenna works as the FRANMAC Operations Committee liaison and will plan and execute her first Taco Bell FRANMAC Convention later in 2017. She also manages the membership, vendors, and assists on the biennial convention for IMDA.
